A downtown Charleston venue for corporate events and meetings.
Union Station is a private event venue on King Street for corporate meetings, team gatherings, client events, networking receptions, product launches, nonprofit programs, and company celebrations.
With a flexible open floor plan, built-in bar, in-house catering and bar service, and adjacent paid city parking, the space gives your team room to gather without the feel of a hotel ballroom or conference room.
A flexible space for the full agenda.
Most corporate events are not one thing from start to finish. A presentation may turn into a working lunch. A training may need small-group conversations. A company update may end with drinks and networking.
Union Station gives you one flexible room that can shift with the flow of the event. The space can be set for presentations, seated meals, cocktail-style receptions, workshops, panels, celebrations, or a mix of formats throughout the day.
Union Station can host up to 125 guests for a seated meal and 200 guests cocktail-style. The room can be configured in a number of ways, with final capacity based on the layout, furniture plan, and flow of the room.
For smaller corporate gatherings, the front bar area works well for groups of 30 or fewer. It gives leadership dinners, small team meetings, and client gatherings a more comfortable setting without making the room feel too large for the guest count.
A better setting for work gatherings.
Corporate events still need to feel organized, but they do not have to feel cold or overly formal.
Union Station gives you a private downtown setting with exposed brick, a built-in bar, natural wood chairs, round tables, and a layout that can be shaped around the event. It works well for companies that want something more polished than a restaurant reservation, but more flexible than a traditional meeting room.
The space is a good fit for:
- Corporate meetings
- Team off-sites
- Client events
- Networking receptions
- Product launches
- Panel discussions
- Training sessions
- Awards dinners
- Company celebrations
- Holiday parties
- Nonprofit programs and sponsor events
Catering and bar for corporate events.
Food and bar service are handled by Rosemary & Rye, which keeps the planning process simpler for corporate events.
For daytime meetings, trainings, and working lunches, Rosemary & Rye Provisions offers online ordering for simpler catering needs like breakfast, boxed or platter-style lunches, sandwich platters, salads, boards, sweets, and buffet-style options.
For larger events, evening receptions, seated dinners, client gatherings, and celebrations, menus can be built around the event. That might mean passed hors d’oeuvres, stations, plated dinner service, lunch service, or a more casual food setup depending on the format.
Bar service can also be shaped around the event, from beer and wine to full bar service, signature cocktails, and zero-proof drinks.
What’s included with your rental.
Corporate events often need clear numbers before every detail is final. Union Station’s venue rental is based on the day of the week and season, which makes it easier to understand the room cost before your final headcount, menu, or bar details are confirmed.
Every booking includes five hours of event time, with six hours for pre-event setup and two hours for post-event breakdown. That gives your team, planner, rental partners, or AV vendors time to get the room ready before guests arrive.
The rental also includes 200 natural wood Chiavari chairs, 15 sixty-inch round tables, and standard bar glassware.
A central downtown location for your team and guests.
Union Station is located at 652-A King Street in downtown Charleston, close to hotels, restaurants, bars, and local businesses.
For guests staying downtown, the venue is easy to work into the rest of the day. For guests driving in, adjacent paid city parking is available next to the venue, giving attendees a convenient parking option in downtown Charleston.
That matters for corporate events, especially when guests are arriving from different offices, hotels, or parts of town.
AV and presentation support.
Audio-visual updates are part of the planned improvements for the space. If your event depends on a screen, projector, microphones, speakers, WiFi, or other AV support, please include those details in your inquiry.
Our team can confirm what will be available for your event date and help you think through any outside vendor needs if additional support is required.
